The honest backstory

I built CalcNest AI because I kept hitting the same wall. Every time I wanted to run a specific calculation — yield farming APR, BRRRR cash-on-cash return, AI inference cost for my chatbot, the right dog food portion for my pet — the existing tools either didn't exist, hid the math behind a signup wall, or surrounded the result with so many ads I couldn't read it.

So I started building. One calculator at a time. The goal was simple: a free library where every formula is documented, every result is instant, and your numbers never leave your browser.

456 calculators later, here we are.

What makes CalcNest AI different

Pricing

Free. No tiers, no premium upsell, no paywall. The site sustains itself via Google AdSense display ads (positioned out of the way of results) and the occasional disclosed affiliate link where genuinely relevant to a calculator.

If you find CalcNest AI useful, the best way to support it is to actually use it — and tell one friend who'd benefit. That's it.

Built solo, transparently

This is a one-person project. I'm Madhavi (hello.goledigitalstudio@gmail.com) and I'm building this in public. Every calculator, every blog post, every line of code reviewed by a human before it ships. AI helps with first drafts and code scaffolding, but the editorial decisions are mine.

If you spot a math error, find a calculator missing, or want to suggest something — I read every email and respond to substantive feedback within seven days.

"The site you'd build if you actually cared about the math, not the conversion funnel."

What's next

The roadmap is public-ish. The next 6 months: mobile speed improvements, affiliate partnerships (only where genuinely useful), more pet calculators, a metric/imperial unit toggle so non-US users don't have to convert (current state is US imperial: lb, inches, °F, gallons), and a research section that makes our analytical frameworks easier to cite.

If any of those resonate, please leave a comment on the Product Hunt launch — that's where I'll see your input fastest today.
